Over 5 Ways to Reuse ipsy Glam Bags

I love getting my monthly Ipsy Glam Bag. But after being a long time subscriber I had a drawer full of bags and I had to figure out what to do with them all. Here are a few of the things I’ve done with my glam bags.

Don’t have an ipsy subscription? Ipsy is a monthly service that sends you cute little bags like the ones above with different kinds of makeup samples (sometimes full size!) based on your skin and hair type. I’ve been using it for probably 2 years now. I love it! It’s only $10 a month, and I have received some great samples in every bag. I feel that it’s totally worth it. 1. Cash or Coin Pouch

I use one of my bags to help keep my loose change and extra cash organized in my purse. I usually don’t keep any cash on hand, but I like to keep this pouch with me for tips and tolls. You could also use it as a little secret stash for savings and keep it in a drawer or a safe.

2. To Keep All Your Razors In One Place

So from my blog, you can tell I love to coupon. When I get razors for a great price I like to keep them organized. I use one of my Ipsy bags to store the razor handle and their corresponding cartridges. This way I have them all in one place and I can tell when I need to buy a replacement cartridge.

3. To Discreetly Store Tampons, Pads, and Liners.

I actually have two Ipsy bags for this purpose. I keep one in my purse, and another in my work bag. I’m thinking of using another bag for my car and gym bag because you never know when you or a friend might need one. Since these bags are cute and small you can just grab it and take it with you to the restroom.

4. Gift Giving

Have a last minute gift you need to get for someone? Just get a gift card and place a small note or card inside the bag. You can also add some candy or chocolates, or even some samples from one of your Ipsy bags. Or if you’re like me and love taking advantage of deals on gift cards you can save them in one of these bags. It makes a great little go to

5. To Organize Coupons

Years ago I used to have a large and highly inconvenient coupon binder. Now thanks to printable and E-coupons, I usually don’t have to go to the store with large amounts of coupons. So I use one of my ipsy bags to organize my printed and store coupons. I even add my grocery list and a pen into the bag so I can go to the store prepared.

6. Backup Makeup Bag

I have a pretty busy life. With the kids, working full time, blogging, and doing housework, sometimes there just isn’t time for me to get my full glam on. This is the reason I carry a backup bag with me in my work bag. I have a little eyeshadow, mirror, lipgloss, and mascara. If I have a few minutes to spare before work I’ll pull myself together.

The possibilities are endless. You can store snacks for the kids, or maybe a protein bar for your gym bag. Speaking of the gym, you can use one to put in your travel size personal items for when you shower after a workout. Take another bag and add band aids and antibacterial ointment for a DIY emergency kit for your car or purse. When going on trips you can use one to store passports and boarding pass, so they are easy to find.  Going out for the night? Use one as a little clutch and put your phone, keys, and money in it.

How do you use your ipsy glam bags? Have you tried any of the ways I listed above? Let me know in the comments below!

I love the idea of using them as a little gift bag!

Great post. I love the eco-friendly/reuse theme. My favorite suggestion is #4. Reason being, you can always reuse the bag to give a gift—even if you already have a makeup bag or wallet. Not only is this eco-friendly, but it’s easier than wrapping and totally free!
